Hmmmmmmm!

Thoughts are totally maggied, read at your own risk!

Something's not okay, that I've known for quite some time. What it was, was what I couldn't point. Now, it seems irrelevant. All of it.

Thinking new thoughts, making new decisions, promising myself amazing things.. am back.. !! Back, just to live.. and experience the magic of life! :)

When it all turns too sober, I need to get back.. and I need to get high..

On Life :)

Life's this and life's that.. everything almost all the time for us is bad..! (they rhyme!! :D :D )
To me, it looked like life simply doesn't have anything good in store for me or my loved ones.. and then I thought.. what if it's my turn now.. to give something back to life?

So what if I actually do not know what I am aiming at, I still feel it is worth a try.

Work. Studies. Health. Weight. Weather. Distance. Love. Family. Togetherness. Books. Peace. Blasts. Questions. Answers. Irritation. Hatred. Lost friends. Pictures. Isolation. Mails. Gifts. Tears. Happiness. Why. Why not. What if. Routine. Crap. Boss. Holidays. Solitude. Songs. Dance. Giggles. Quiet.

Amidst all this, did I forget to live or was this life?!
Chchaddo pare.. ;)

There're things about life that are just too beautiful to let them pass by without acknowledgement.. there're moments too precious to be washed off by sorrows.. there're experiences awaiting at the right door.. there's a whole world out there offering bundles of happiness.. there's you and there's me.. :)

A Little More Love (Jesse's)
Sometimes you lose your place,
And all you're searching after,
Is right before your face,
Ridin' on your high horse,
Believing your own lies,
Don't you know that everyone is kneeling,
We're all the same size.

Just a little more love is all we're hoping for
Just a little more peace is all we need.

Take away the colors, don't you understand,
It all breaks down to the heart of the matter
All one, think how strong we'd be
If you and me give a little more love.
It ain't that tough to give a little more love... Love.

Blank :-/

This makes me irritated and hopeful at the same time ...
and I do not feel great about it!

I need a sign, to put in that effort. Now what?

Inside Out.

Don't you worry. This won't be about the skin going in and the liver coming out. Eeeeyucksss!
Relax. I mean, I need to relax as well. Phew! :D
It's about us. You and me and the person sitting next to us.

(I know this post is a coupla weekends belated, ki farak padta hai.. maaroge mujhe? )

So I'd promised to write about that activity in class. It so happens, that I'm taking these add-on management classes with my engineering course. I have all the time in the world you see. Yes.
*rollin eyes*
*sighin*
*rollin eyes*
*eyes painin*

'Financial Management' classes are taken by this teacher who's .. err.. umm.. Lori Mausi kinds. (Aunt Lullaby.. lol..) Maane ke, bas dekho unhe aur neend aa jaati hai. She's taken the fun outta numbers. Maths = History when it comes to her. I took 'Accounting for Management' last year and it was realllll Fun, with a capital f. Amazing diversion from coding etc (blech!) and totally worth the time spent on balance sheets and profit and loss accounts..! Gosh... how I miss those days!

Kahan thi main? Haan... She ( Aunt lullaby) had a surprise in store for us. Once all of us were settled and done chit - chatting, she called a student to write out something on the board from a paper.
Human Values

Us : hunh??
I was sandwiched between these two girls from the chemical technology department. They are sweethearts, adorable people, both of them :-)

One of them, the blunt one (very jaat accent) : Yaar.. ye kya bakwaas hai..?? Kya kara ri hain ye?? Bore.
Me : Hmm.. Let's see.

By then , the blackboard had some 26 human values listed out. There were murmurs all around.

Ma'am : So, we're going to play this game today. Can you all identify with some of the qualities written here??

The blunt one (to me) : Kya bakwaas hai?? Iska kya relation hai Financial se??
Me ( sarcastically ) : She knows.. ask her..
Her : Poochch lun??
Me (devil in me) : Haan.. aur ni toh kya..
Me ( speech bubble) : Ab aayega mazaa.. ;P
Her ( to Ma'am, in this accusing tone ) : Excuse me, why are we doing this? Is this related to our course? It isn't. ('!')

Class : LOL! :D
Ma'am : Hmm.. hun..?? Err.. you'll see.. it is..
(Poor her!)
So , can you identify with any one of these values?? *Looks around for people raising hands* One? Maybe all 26 values?? 25??

Me : Yaar kya mazaak hai?? Khud se kaise bolun ke main caring, honest, reliable, patient etc hun? :-/
(to ma'am) : We all can identify with all 25 values... at different times, for different people..

Ma'am : Yes.. that's what we're going to do today. You all have to come and pick these cards which have some value written on them. Then, share some experience with all of us, of that one time that you exhibited that value.

Us (loadsa rollin eyes) : Nooooooooooo!

I'll just jot down the list for you guys. It was in alphabetical order, but I've randomised it, jumbled it, just like ma'am did with those cards.. a very tarot like experience ;-).. !
Why I've done the jumbling.. you'll get to know soon! Here goes -
  1. Respect
  2. Flexibility
  3. Love
  4. Trust
  5. Confidence
  6. Generosity
  7. Mercy
  8. Obedience
  9. Patience
  10. Caring
  11. Assertiveness
  12. Forgiveness
  13. Excellence
  14. Responsibility
  15. Orderliness
  16. Justice
  17. Enthusiasm
  18. Honesty
  19. Peace
  20. Creativity
  21. Honor ( one person actually thought it was 'horror'... LOL!)
  22. Self - discipline
  23. Humility
  24. Reliablility
  25. Detatchment
  26. Unity

And so it began. One by one, we all crawled to the table to pick our kismet cards. Ahem!

Guess what yours truly picked out?? Hmmmmmmm?? Tello tello..

We were given five minutes to think. Uh well, whatever. I had started thinking before I even picked out the card! :D People began going up and narrating their experiences and I was lost. Thinking. One, two, five, ten.. Almost everyone was done. I was still.. thinking. Then came what I was dreading. The whole class was done, but for me. Hell..!

I was like.. ab toh jana padega..

( jail ki roti khaani padegi.. jail ka paani peena padega.. ab toh jail mein jaana padega! :D :D.. anyone remember this.. posham paa bhai posham paa game?? please lemme know! .. a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig >:D<>Anyway, I had picked out Peace. Yup. That. Peace.

It is an inner sense of calmness that can come in moments of silent gratitude.

It is a way of being very quiet and looking at things so that you can understand them.

It also said under 'Applications' , I practice Peace when I:

  • Appreciate the differences
  • Avoid harming anyone
  • Create inner peace with regular silent meditation

........... and I was still thinking. I mean.. what the ______________? Yes, I've turned peaceful in the past one year or so. Honestly. Reasons are best left out, but I really have found a sense of inner peace that has made me calm. But how am I to go up there and blabber on it and get mocked at? ( Felt same about writing senti stuff at blogger as well but it's changed now.. thanks to a lot of you guys! :-) ) In class, it was still very weird. And to top that, I had to narrate an instance when I practiced Peace.

Hell-o?

Uh.. Well.. The card that I've picked out is Peace. *Read out the stuff written on it* As for an incident that I can think of related to it.. Nothing comes to mind, really. Frankly, I am not that peaceful , or not peaceful at all. *I could see some females who've been at the receiving end when I've been in the take-a-piece-of my-mind mode, nodding and smiling. What-ever!* It is only after joining college and more specifically in the past one and a half year or so, coming across some particular people, that I realised that not everyone thinks the way I do and not everyone would funtion the way I think is right.. So I've begun to accept that and have realised that people are markedly different and behave differently all the time. *More vigorous nods* I've stopped reacting the way I used to (my blunt self) and have become more adjusting to other people's views' and their thought process however weird it may be. *Now was my turn to smirk*

As for gratitude.. yes.. I'm fond of books and read a lot, blogs as well.. and have come across situations and people who've made me realise that I've been blessed with a lot that I do not acknowledge in day to day monotony of life and have been taking for granted.. but I now understand the need to thank that someone up above and be grateful to all that I have and work on it to get the best than crib about stuff/people that I could not get/understand..

but.. uh.. as for meditation.. not my cup of tea guys! This is as peaceful as I can get! :D

Phew! Smirking ladies could go to hell, for all I care. I had spoken whatever came to mind. Later when we were discussing the class.. all of us thought it was somewhat personal an exercise, that couldn't be discussed in front of people we weren't comfortable with. I hope you get what I mean. Oh, some funny, sweet stuff:

The blunt one from Chemical Tech got Unity : I did my summer training at XYZ. My friends also did it from the same place. That's Unity.

ROTFL! She's cuuuuuute! In her own way.. :-)

Another one from Chem Tech got Creativity : I am creative in my own way, like, the time when I was training at XYZ, I got the zeolite's precipitation to 100% which had not been done before..blahblah.. *yawn*

Engineers.. what else do you expect?? This was creativity! &$&^% Cuuuuuuuute agggain! :-)

Now this guy from Bio Tech whom I totally adore got Self - discipline . He narrated this incident about summer training again where in he had proved his mentor wrong and worked diligently to collect blood samples and work on them and had been punctual and industrious. He got amazing results as well! I respect him more now!

This girl from Mechanical Engg got Trust : When I tell my friends something, they trust me. But when I tell them that I can't come out to hang out with them because I am sleeping, they don't trust me. ('?')

Cuute na? Lol.. :D

Two friends from Comp Sc , again sweethearts, got Respect and Courage.

Respect : My cousin was abusing her parents, I asked her not to and told her how it wasn't right to do that outta anger and that parents are the best people in the whole wide world. I respect my brother as well and cover up for him all the time.

Courage : Last night, I accidently broke the remote. I could've put it aside and no one would've known, but I thought it was better to confess and I did. I also stand up for myself when I'm being blamed for something that I did not do, like when my sister accuses me of something that I didn't do, I always say out the truth.

This guy, who's again an amazing person ( till now, I hope you know that I'm only writing about the people I like ;-) ) got Forgiveness . He told us about this best friend of his who one slapped him for a reason he didn't know of but said nothing at that time.. don't know what else but it was something nice.

So my people.. now it's your turn. Do not make faces, fellas! You gotta pick one of these.. try and pick the one written against your birthdate (ones whose birthdate is 27-31, choose any, lucky lucky!) Write about it either in the comments section or as a post as a Tag.

I was smiling throughout this game. Smiling. Cracking up. Dreading. Realising. Discovering. Understanding. Visulalising. Getting to know people more... and that happens to be my favorite acitivity anyway! :-)

I am hoping that like me, some of you would also relate to some incident, here and there, and realise how you possess some values you never thought you did, and better still, will share it with us.

:-)

Bhai's waiting. Take your time. In the meanwhile, I'll go for a refill. Chai, ofcourse! :D

PS : Happy teacher's day to all of you! I learn a lot from what you all write and share. Lessons in Life! ... and they are what that matter the most, nay? :-)
