Aisa bhi hota hai?!

Being in engineering is maybe not that bad after all. There are things that I love about college and the one that tops the list is... exams!!

Somehow, over the past year...they've undoubtedly been the best times I've spent in college, for nothing beats the exam time gupshup! It's like, we wouldn't have anything to talk about, for weeks at a stretch and suddenly 3 hours before the exam is scheduled to take place, conversation flows.. and how! Sad part is, those 3 hours are all we got to finally maaro an attempt at 'mug and vomit' :-S

A lot of random stuff comes up which feels like staying in college a blessing!

Arbit relatives-are-this-that talks, clothes, television, music, bitching, relationships, career, future... everythingggg! All this amidst rounds of chai/coffee/cold coffee/lunch/maggi/momos.. (and we still talk about going on strict diets and remind each other that we've got to get in shape by the time farewell is held ;o) )

Phir bhi, we manage.. we manage to mug and vomit, teach each other stuff that doesn't even make sense but only because it 'looks' important, we study it anyway.. and we manage, to score.

And that is what counts, nay? :-D

So this other day, we were all sitting in this open air canteen we have in college and were 'studying'.

Around us were these :

and these fellas were a lot in number!! They were all around us, these keedas and were disturbing us continuosly by crawling around our books, bags etc. In an attempt to shoo them away, by.. ahem.. pencils/pens.. we discovered that once u kinda hit them they turn all circular.. some defence mechanism , we supposed. Have a look:

So it became like a normal everyday activity. You sit and try to study, they are going to crawl around and you gotta hit them, jus enough so that these circular figures reach the grass or atleast enough distance, so that it takes them ages to crawl back and reach us. It was like, practising for a game of carrom, to get the aim all right and still not hurt them . Bhai, ahem, proved to be the best at it! :D

Yes, so I am great at a lot of meaningless stuff that doesn't really matter. Thanks for the applause.

Anyway, one day I was wearing these really baggy cargos and one of them actually managed to crawl up my leg till my knee!! Which is when I felt something wrong and discovered after this really stupid jiggly dance that it was a keeda. Henceforth, we tried to be a little more careful ( lol.. like I wore churidars, or skin fitting jeans after that! :D )

We were carrying on these study sessions when one of our friends came a little late and joined us. We warned her of the keedas : "Oye.. dhyaan se.. you're sitting right by the wall and they kinda crawl into your clothes as well! "

Sounds like normal advice right? and any of you'd understand it has to be about some keeda or the like..

Hamari pyaari dost, looked around trying to find what could be the 'thing' we were warning her of and questions us back :

"What gets in the pants yaar?? Kya...?? Nevla ?? "

[ Nevla = Mongoose ] !!!!!!

And for the next few seconds, we all are like, sitting and staring. Just that..

Staring.

And then we couldn't stop laughing.. How can anyone.. ANYONE.. imagine a nevla 'crawling' into anyone's pants???

I seriously pray for those, whose privacy a nevla would invade. For it's gonna be bad,
